[CALIBK12] ELEM: looking for Asian-themed read aloud for principal

Greetings,
Our first graders annually participate in an Asian/Pacific Islander living history day. Our new principal would like to read aloud a picture book so I'm looking for suggestions from all of you. The group of first graders will be large. The book can be contemporary or historical, folk/fairy tale, even nonfiction. The lunar new year will be over by the time of the event. 
I look forward to hearing of your favorites that might work well for this.
