This sounds like a great place to take yourself AND your principal or 
vice-principal, even if you have to invest $400 in both. It should be tax 
deductable because it is an education expense and a donation to the 
education of your administrator and it should get you a second sandbag in 
the break in the levee. Sometimes you have to do extraordinary things to 
make a point.

Wish we could get Julie Andrews to come to a meeting of school librarians 
to talk about the value of libraries. She was at ALA. Maybe we should 
figure out how to get her to do something NOW!
