Blanche's post reminded me that someone had posted these figures before.
I couldn't find the article in my files, but I did find the url for the
School Library Journal article from 2006.  Here it is.

Notice how some of the prices were higher than we were discussing
earlier-and that was in 2004.  We need to stress how much the school
board is risking by cutting library staff.  One way to do that is to go
to the public, via newspaper, conversation, or whatever works.
