[CALIBK12] Horton at Kohls $5

Now is a great time to get ahead in your preparations
for Read Across America Week.  Kohls Department stores
has Dr. Seuss books and characters including Horton
Hatches the Egg, Yertle the Tertle, Hop on Pop, and
Fox in Socks.  Each of these hardcover books sells for
only $5 and the matching plush toys are also $5.

I use Horton Hatches the Egg for read alouds with
Junior High and upper elementary during Read Across
America Week (Also works with High School ELL's
Special Education or Freshmen).  See attached lesson
plans if interested.

At $5 each, they also make nice give-aways for family
literacy nights!
