Hello Carl and CAlib;

I second the motion in congratulating Jo Ellen, and would
like to add thanks to you, Carl, for your "guts and gumption" in your
tireless efforts to champion these excellent standards that have truly
made a mark in the field of information literacy standards and
guidelines. Kudos as well to all the members of the original standards
task force, as well as to Debbie Abilock whose amazing editing skills
formulated the document we see today.

I keep the print copy by both my home and school computers,
I carry them with me to every conference presentation, I carry them with
me to my annual job evaluations, and I truly use them in every lesson I
collaboratively teach. They are a source of advocacy as well as a
resource of school library teaching and program creation.

                                    Deb Stanley,

                                    LMT @ Central MS, RUSD

                                    Debstanley550 at mac.com

Subject: [CALIBK12] Thanks to Jo Ellen Misakian

Hello Everyone,

It is very gratifying to me to see our Standards now posted free on
Calibk12. The printed version was first class and served its purpose of
presenting a printed product for distribution to the California school
and library community. The online version will now allow us to join
many other states who proudly post their excellent work. The entire
enterprise was and is well worth it. I want us all to give special
recognition to Jo Ellen Misakian of Fresno Pacific U. who envisioned
this project and wisely guided our Task Force through the long process.

Carl Martz, LMT (ret.)

Task Force Editor
