chance maybe something like this can be presented in Southern
California?  You up there get all the good things!  (except our weather,

Hello Everyone,

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that we still have a few seats available for Michael
Cart.  Michael Cart will be doing a presentation at the Santa Clara
County Office of Education on Thursday, January, 24, 2008, 8:30am -
3:30pm.  The cost is only $40 per person and it includes lunch,
wonderful handouts, and a million ideas for booktalking - great chance
to get your kids to read in the middle and high schools.  Don't wait too
long to register because it is on a first come first serve system.  Go
to http://www.sccoe.org/depts/library/ to register online.

Now the bad news - Peggy Sharp sold out almost instantly - we had
seating for 150 people but it wasn't enough.  Next year we will book her
for 2 days so we can accommodate up to 300 people.

I really hope to see you there.
