Thank you, Joanne, for pointing out this special "Anne-iversary" to us. I remember sitting in a doctor's waiting room with my grandmother (age 90 at the time) several years ago. I was reading one of the "Anne" books, and my grandmother asked me the title of my book. I told her, and to my surprise, she replied, "Oh, isn't this the one where that silly Anne finally marries Gilbert?" L.M. Montgomery's series is truly timeless and worth celebrating. Great idea.

Is anyone doing anything special to celebrate Anne of Green Gables' 100th anniversary this year?
