Yes! Blanche - Right on!
In our library if students come in to take a test everyone knows they
are on their own. We treat them like any student who comes in with a
valid pass. (We send them back if they DON'T have a valid pass.)

Pat,
The library as spot for make-up testing implies you have nothing better
to do than moniter a student making up a test. It will be only a short
time until you will be asked to oversee students who are on detention.
When this comes, you should make the library so much fun for detention
that students are eager to come and then detention won't be detention,
will it.
As far as monitering tests, it would be better if the students went
almost
anywhere else where they would have someone able to watch them take the
test. You could explain that since youcwon't be able to really make
sure
they aren't using notes, listening to ipods, texting their friends for
the
answers, that having the guidance office or someother spot in the
school
(main office) do this.
Don't create a form. This implies that you are, in fact, going to be
responsible and you really don't want to be because you really can't
watch
a student to make sure the work they are doing is their work.
