The following was forwarded to me from the Education
Librarian at USC. She granted permission for me to
post it to this list serv;

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
in cooperation with
the USC Shoah Foundation Institute
and the USC Rossier School of Education
presents
 
TEACHING ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST
8th Southern California Teacher Forum on Holocaust
Education
 
The forum, designed specifically for secondary
teachers and pre-service teachers, will explore the
content, methodologies, and rationales for teaching
the history of the Holocaust; increase teachers’
knowledge of the Holocaust, and examine contemporary
issues associated with this history.
 
Special emphasis will be placed on using technology to
teach about the Holocaust. 
 
On Friday, April 4, there will a live video conference
with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum,
Oregon State University, and California State
University, East Bay.
 
Sessions:
§       Teaching, the Holocaust, and Citizenship
§       Guidelines for Teaching about the Holocaust
§       The Role of Teachers during the Third Reich
§       Latin America and the Holocaust
§       Antisemitism
§       Electronic Resources for Teaching about the
Holocaust
§       Genocide after the Holocaust
 
·       Attendance is free and full funding is
provided for substitutes when teachers attend the
entire program.
 
·       Certificates of attendance, complimentary
one-year Museum membership, and parking, lunch, and
free educational materials are all provided.
