[CALIBK12] Anyone use WordPress on a web page?

I am interested in using Word Press as part of our school website, and wonder 
if anyone on the list can answer a few questions for me.   

1.   I wonder if I can set up a page for our sports program that the coach 
could maintain where he only has access to that page, and our yearbook advisor 
could have a yearbook page that she can maintain, etc.   

2.   Is there a way to have short snippets from the sports page and the 
yearbook page appear on the index page, like an RSS feed appears?

We already have a domain hosted with Zipa with full PHP support.
