POSTING JOBS FOR SJSU SLIS STUDENTS AND ALUMNI

Employment opportunities for students and graduates of the SJSU School
of Library and Information Science are distributed through the SJSU
Career Center online system SpartaJOBS. We encourage you to publicize
your job opportunity on SpartaJOBS now, as that is the best way to
reach the School’s students. This service is FREE to employers.

Please take a few moments to register and post your job opportunities
on this employment site. See details below.

To post a position for the first time, visit the SJSU Career Center
web site:
         * http://www.careercenter.sjsu.edu
         * Click on "Employers" (top horizontal menu)
         * Click on "First Time User Sign In" (left-hand vertical menu)
         * Select the Tab "Register And Post a Job". Be careful to
select that tab, which allows you to register AND post at the same
time. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you select the “Register and Post a
Job” tab and not the “Register” only tab. Selecting “Register and Post
a Job” lets you post immediately; selecting the “Register” only tab
delays your job posting.

The Registration Form is one page; the second page lets you post a
job. Completing the second page submits your job. Please be sure to
include in your job description how you want candidates to apply for
the position. Once you submit a job, it will be reviewed and posted
within one business day.

You will then be a registered employer, and can go to the SpartaJOBS
website and sign in by clicking the Registered User Sign-In anytime to
post, edit, or re-post a career opportunity.

Bowman at the Career Center (Sherri.Bowman at sjsu.edu, or 408-924-6027).

Thank you for making your employment information available to the
students and alumni of the San Jose State University School of Library
and Information Science.
