Highlights of "Mashup the Library" might be of particular interest to
members of the CSLA 2.0 Team, Ed Tech Committee, and CLA-IT.
California Academic & Research Library association's CARL North IT
Special Interest Group puts on a summer library technology workshop that
fills up fast. This year, Santa Clara University hosted the program at
its beautiful new library/information commons/technology center. I took
copious notes and last night finally had a chance to review and start
blogging about the presentations, starting with Rachel Smith, VP of New
Media Consortium (Horizons Report) and Raymond Yee, UCBerkeley professor
and author of "Web 2.0 Mashups." When you have a chance, see
http://2cooltools.blogspot.com/.
I'd love to have time to learn and play with mashups. I'd love to have
time to explore all the cool tools demonstrated by the CARL North IT
presenters -- it was an amazing workshop.
Enjoy! Comments welcome.
Best wishes.
- Jackie
