[CALIBK12] retiring in San Rafael

Dear CaLib colleagues,

 

I have decided to retire.  I have been a teacher librarian for 17 years,
following an equal number of years as a teacher (English and German) in
another district. I cannot imagine a more enjoyable or rewarding
career.sometimes I suspect that EVERYONE would want to be a school librarian
if they only knew!   Librarianship is a noble profession, and the high
school libraries have been the perfect places for me to work.  My
participation in CaLib over the past few years has been the most useful,
supportive, stimulating, and interesting way I have ever  found to connect
with others in my profession.  Except for two years, I was always  the only
librarian in the district, so have really relied on your  advice and ideas.
I know my students have benefited greatly by all that I have gained from
this online community.  Thank you all so much.
