[CALIBK12] No cuts

Just got back from a mini vacation in San Diego, to find a letter from the PVUSD Human Resources department.  After a great deal of advocacy, including letters from neighboring districts, and from our wonderful CSLA, the Board of Trustee's rescinded the cuts to the libraries.  All the libraries will be open at the beginning of the year.  Hurray to the tireless library media techs who got out on the picket lines, & talked news reporters into making the closure of school libraries into a story.  I am sure the expected budget was not as draconian as predicted, but I believe without these efforts they would have spent the money elsewhere.
