[CALIBK12] Database Analysis

My principal is requesting information on any analysis on the cost and use of databases?  I am the Teacher Librarian at a High School which has 2300 students.  Our district provides two database, we are considering adding one more.  I checked the archives, but did not find this topic heading.  If any of you have done this, or could direct me to a location where I could pull data  thank you in advance for your assistance.
