[CALIBK12] Author visit - M. E. Ross and other male authors

We're looking at scheduling an author visit for next year and considering
Michael Elsohn Ross (Wormology, Cricketology, Snug as a bug ...).  If you've
had him visit your school, I'd be interested in your feedback on how it
went, how well he engages kids, whether he is flexible in meeting your needs
for a visiting author, etc.

Also, we've had some wonderful women authors in our area visit and would
like to invite a male author whose books would appeal to 5-8th grade
students.  Any authors you've had visit that you'd recommend?  We're
confining our search at this point to California.
