[CALIBK12] Food for Thought

I was just pondering this question on the way to an early morning meeting
today. Do any of you often get the library taken over for meetings,
testing, etc.? How do you manage it? It seems there are times when our
library is forced to close for weeks due to AP-CAHSEE-CSTs or other ongoing
meetings. What do you do?
Thanks!

I like hosting events in the library...unless I have to bump classes to
make way for them.

I believe that our library is the heart of the school and as such it is
the place where people are occasionaly invited to congregate, encourage each
other, and renew their committment to serve young people at meetings and
events. I am proud to contribute in any way to an increase in civilized
behavior at school! And my principal loves my willingness to be a team
player when she is required to host events. I have noticed that even public
libraries have social events scheduled once in awhile.
Besides, they always invite you to the festivities!

I love it when meetings and activities are held in the library...It lets
me show off the collection, the facilities, projects that kids have
done....It's great PR.
