[CALIBK12] Fwd: Schwabe

I, too, had a bad experience with Schwabe.  They had agreed to sell
books on campus during a special parent night--parents could purchase
books and donate them to the library, books would include a "Donated to
/ From" book plate, and parents would get a receipt for their tax
deductible donation.  However, Schwabe backed out with a flimsy excuse
of they needed guaranteed sales of xxx amount.  In their place, I worked
with Borders Books and we had a ravingly successful book selling
evening!  
 
Schwabe actually had a the gall to contact me a few times after that
incidence because they wanted to come to our school.  Fat chance!

We had a similar experience about 5 years ago. They promised to show up
at 8:00 A.M., I booked classes to come to the library and they did not
arrive until noon! They had no explanation or apologies!

	Shwabe came to our school about four years ago. We found that
they changed the rules and the promises as the date got closer. I would
not use them again.

	A couple of years ago I set up a date for a book fair, and they
cancelled on me the DAY BEFORE it was to be delivered.  I will never
