I will be retiring from the San Francisco Unified School District the end of June and would like to invite interested people to apply for the position of Supervisor for Textbooks and Libraries.

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Possession of CLAD/BCLAD certification;
•Possession of a valid librarian credential;
•Experience as an administrator in a California school district or county office;
•Experience using multimedia to support classroom instruction;
•Bilingual/biliterate.

Although the deadline to apply is listed as May 18, I expect it will be open until filled (and/or that anyone interested could apply by the deadline with a note saying that references--or whatever else might take longer--will be sent later).

We are extremely fortunate in San Francisco to have a community that supports school library programs, and because of funding from the city we have part-time teacher librarians in every elementary school as well as in almost all our middle and high schools. 

The office staff consists of the supervisor, a program administrator for library services, a teacher librarian on special assignment, and 3 classified staff, all super SUPER people who are great to work with!
