[CALIBK12] Book Expo questions

Hi - I am planning to attend Book Expo America (for the first time - on Sat. May 31st)  and need some sage advice.
   
  I read that tickets for autographing are free, and handed out on a first come basis.  How early do people line up for tickets for autographing?   Would I have any chance of getting a ticket for my daughter's favorite author, Christopher Paolini?
