[CALIBK12] Barcode Labels

We position them on the back cover, lower right.  BUT, if the ISBN lable is too near as to interfer with scanning, we put the bar code lable on top of the ISBN label.

I don't do textbooks, but here the voice of my experience with library
books: My barcodes were positioned on back cover, top right, before I got
here. This is most convenient for inventory, as you just tilt the book out
and scan. But I regret it. It covers the blurb on the back of the book that
kids also go to first. It's a constant frustration and the source of many
complaints. When I read the blurb to kids, I can figure it out from context
and just make up what I think it says under the barcode, but the students
can't do that. I didn’t know when to jump off that merry-go-round and start
positioning them somewhere else. Now I feel stuck.
