[CALIBK12] 2.0...what's next, what's new?

Hi Calib folks!

Summer is almost here! Some folks get out of school early this year so
it's truly "just around the corner".

Many School Library Learning 2.0 participants have completed the
course and have been asking "what's next" for summer 2008 fun.

  We're recommending several options:

1 - Offer School Library Learning 2.0 to your district teacher
librarians and do it as a professional development/team-building
exercise over the summer.

2 - You and your fellow teacher librarians offer Classroom Learning
2.0 to classroom teachers in your district -- ask for the CSLA 2.0
Team "Management/Users Guide."
NOTE: CL2.0 is essentially the same as SLL2.0, so you
know what it is all about! Coaching your colleagues is a great way to
keep learning new web 2.0 tools and curriculum connections. This is
truly 'advocacy in action': participating in a 'hands-on' project with
your site colleagues can be a fabulous segue into some good
collaborating!

3 - We need a few dedicated "test drivers" for a new tutorial on
assistive technology. If that is an interest of yours, if you work
with special needs teachers, or if you're interested in learning
something completely new, please send a note to our CSLA 2.0 Team
project manager, Jackie Siminitus at js8295 at att.com.
