For those of you interested in more details about this discussion...
Passage of AB 825 changed the Education Code. The EC related to the plans required in the School and Library Improvement Block Grant says:
41572. A school district that receives funds pursuant to this section shall have a school level advisory committee as required by Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 52000) of Part 28, as it read on January 1, 2004, and shall have a single school plan that incorporates the requirements of Sections 18181*, 52014, and 52015, as those sections read on January 1, 2004. *the section dealing with libraries
Section 18181 read on January 1, 2004: (a) ...As a condition of receiving funding under this article, school districts shall develop a districtwide school library plan and the local school district governing board shall certify approval of the plan. In developing the plan, school districts are encouraged to include school library media teachers. If a school library media teacher is not employed at a school, schools are encouraged to involve a school library media teacher employed by the district or county office of education in the development of the plan.
How your district requires the single school plan to include the library is a local decision. In some districts the district plan is included as an appendix as Janet noted. In others the district plan is referenced. The key is that a district plan exists and single school plans include the library with a relationship to the district plan. I think the more information at the fingertips the better so I like the idea of including a copy of the district plan in the school site plan. Barbara

Isn't the School Library Plan also supposed to be a part (an appendix?) of your school's Single Plan for Student Achievement?

There is if all goes well. That's one of the connections that isn't required but is great when it happens.
There is a legal relationship between the district library plan and the site library plan under the School and Library Improvement Plan. The site plans should reference the district plan.

Oh wise ones, is there a relationship between the School Library Plan and the District Technology Plan? I vaguely remember the School Library Plan is a component of the District Technology Plan. I have searched both Ed. Code section 51871.5 and the California Department of Education Website on Education Technology Resources page for an answer.
