Last night our district managed to pass Measure H which will build a new high school in Merced and will expand our campus. Part of the plan for LHS is doubling the size of the library with seating for two classes, 2 full size computer labs (the current ones are crammed into small rooms), and a real textbook room. The library expansion is several years down the road but it will be great for our school. The bond passed with 62%. A similar bond for the same project failed a year and a half ago with about 54% support. I am stunned. I really didn't think it had a chance.
