[CALIBK12] Destiny HELP!?!

Things I like about Destiny:
With student logins enabled kids can see their library and textbook checkouts and can place holds.
Kids can create and save lists of books they want to read
Teachers can create and publish reading lists for their students
Students and teachers can write reviews which can be included in catalog records
I can search all of the schools in the district (text and library books) from a single interface
Titlepeek (annotations, author notes, professional reviews, chapter previews, cover image)
Webpath Express (integrated web links)
The "Show All" option when search results return multiple pages
I can access the software from anywhere, including at home
Sharing MARC records across the district means that most of the time I am just adding copies instead of creating new records
It is much easier to add AR information to a record
There are, of course, things I don't like about Destiny but overall it is a huge improvement over the old client-server software.

Subject: Re: [CALIBK12] Destiny HELP!?!
I have had a very different experience with Destiny. We upgraded from Follett Circulation Plus to Destiny this fall. With every new software application, there will be adjustments and some frustration, but by and large, it has been great. Without an explanation of its "inefficiency" and how it wastes your time and your students' time, I do not know what feedback you are looking for.
The features of Destiny that I think are an improvement over Circulation Plus are:
Scheduled reports
Searching for patrons by first name as well as last
Destiny Remote
Title Peak
We have nine schools in the district who all began using Destiny in the fall. We formed an email support group and communicated almost daily during the first month of school as we discovered new things or couldn't find the report we were looking for. Helping one another through the transition has been key to our success.
Good luck to you. Feel free to email me with specific questions that I might be able to help you with.

Our district has just migrated from Spectrum to Destiny. I have been using Destiny for 16 days. At this time I have nothing good to say about it and am amazed/frustrated at its inefficiency and wastefulness of my time and student's time.
Can anyone provide me with positive feedback?
