[CALIBK12] Closing the Achievement Gap

Dear Colleagues,
What are you doing in your library to help close the achievement gap? I know numerous studies show that strong school libraries increase student achievement, but I'm looking for the specific policies, programs and practices you've enacted to assist students of color/second language learners and/or other students with historically lower levels of achievement.  If I have enough responses, I'll compile a list and send it out.
