[CALIBK12] Fwd: Magazines

Thanks for all the great suggestions.  The magazines recommended by Cal
Lib subscribers were:
Justine
GL
American Girl
Cicada
J-14
La teen
Teen  vogue
In Style
People
Latina
Ebony
Teen  Voices
Runner's World
Dance
Fitness
Gymnast

I checked all the reviews I could find and decided to go with Cicada
and La Teen (I only have funds for two).  Both of these magazines seemed
to focus more on girl achievements than fashion.  We already receive
Teen Vogue, Ebony, and People, which cover the fashion scene.  Thanks
for all of your help!

Help!  I'm looking to add a couple of magazines for a female high
school
audience.  I would like magazines that show young ladies in a
favorable
light, are not mostly advertising for beauty supplies, and not filled
with stories about how to attract and hold the opposite sex.  Any
ideas?
