?A month or so ago, we sent you this list to get yourself prepared for Conference.? Of course, Kathy and I know that you did not do anything yet, so here is the list again, with a nice addition or two from friends.?
Note to Self...start a pile of things that you need to take to conference (because you know?you will forget them later!)? (only DAYS left to go!)
?
1)? umbrella...if you take it..it will NOT rain
2)? mailing labels..you know you have them all over the house..if you don't bring them..you will have to stand there and fill out a form at every booth!!!!
3)? good walking shoes..go for comfort
4)? layers..the weather here can be quite nice but you get into a room for a session and find yourself sitting right under the heater/air conditioner
5)? little ziploc of Advil or Tylenol..all that sitting, walking...all day long..on cement.. need we say more?
6)? business cards are good too..make those "Connections".
7)? phone charger..can't tell you how many folks forget this one
8)? camera...duh
9)? And be sure to stick one of those return address stickers on the phone charger. Hotels now find chargers are one of the most commonly forgotten items. Yours will go into their box with all the rest, so which one will they mail to you (if they do that at all . . .)?
You might also want to remind yourself to immediately put it in your suitcase or cosmetic tote whenever you remove the phone from it, just to be on the safe side.

Joanne Ladewig? (A.K.A. "Library Lady")
10. ?csla luggage tags for conference bag ID? or bring a piece of bright ribbon to tie on your bag..makes it look different than all the others!
11)??highlighters for program ideas
12) ??post-its to guide me through the program
These three good ones are from:
....barb scheifler
And did? you forget?? Add this item to the list from?George Pilling:
13)? Wouldn't it be great if all subscribers to CALIB wore a sticker saying
so at the conference? Well, now you can! Using a color printer and a
sheet of address labels 3 columns by 10 rows, print the page that is
here: http://www.calibk12.net/CALIBLABELS.pdf Use one for yourself at
the conference. Give the other 29 to people you meet at the conference -
but only if they are a subscriber. (ask them)
You can collect as many labels as you want. In fact, I am contemplating
a prize for the person with the most labels. You are on your honor to
get each label from a different person. On Sunday morning before the
author brunch, find me and show me your collection. The prize will be
something excellent, I am sure.?
I will also have my "CALIB" sticker labels to exchange with you.? So, drop by the Hospitality Booth.? Because, Yes, I do subscribe to CALIB!
