Conference is a few short days away. We are very excited about our efforts
for this year's meetings, workshops, presentations and sessions. Feel free to
write us, as some of you have, with questions prior to your arrival, and
please stop at the Hospitality Desk (near Registration) if there is anything we
may be able to help you with while you are here. We will have copies of the
items we have previously posted - as well as any updates, and information on
places we may have forgotten to mention. Remember to check the Conference Wiki,
too. We will even try to have some menus for you to peruse.
A few last reminders: the Convention Center is at 13th/14th and J/K
streets. There are concession stands in the Exhibit Hall for your use while the
Exhibits are open, and the Hyatt and Marriott each have restaurants. The weather
report looks wonderful so far, so walking to many of the restaurants we have
posted shouldn't be a problem from that stand point. Street parking is
monitored on a very regular basis, so please be mindful of time if you are not in a
lot, or have driven to a restaurant - though most street parking is free
after 6pm.
Next week, at this time, we will all likely be eating in our own homes or
neighborhoods once more, re energized, enthused and excited about everything we
shared at our 2008 California School Library Association Conference. We all
hope you had a great time, learned lots, made new friends and are already
looking forward to 2009!!!
Your Hospitality Committee,
Jeane, Julie and Kathy
