A Read Aloud List for HS! What a great idea! I often read the opening lines of Hiroshima - a real attention getter, but I've never read anyone the whole thing. Hope you'll share....

Subject: [CALIBK12] Read-Alouds for 10-11th grade

A math teacher came to me today wanting help in getting his 2nd period SSR class to read. He would like to try reading aloud to them. Does anyone have any "sure-thing" read-alouds for 10-11th graders? Any for 9th would do as well. He says they are mostly boys and many girls and boys are athletes. I gave him Unwind to start with by Neal Shusterman (off the top of my head) but I know you may tons of others...

I'd love to put together a great read-aloud list for high school if you would like to send in your titles I will post a hit.
Thanks so much!!
