Hello CSLA Members and Friends:
Thanks to the CSLA Conference committee and in the spirit of the Library 2.0
philosophy (sharing and collaboration), I would like to invite up to 20
people to join my workshop "live" from a distance as a "Virtual Partner" or
guest. As a virtual partner, you can participate from a distance and, at
the same time, help demonstrate one part of what I am showing in the
workshop - how to collaborate and share outside the walls of your library
and school. Perhaps you were in this workshop at last year's conference and
want to share what you have done with Library 2.0 tools since then or you're
just curious what all this Library 2.0 talk is all about or you want to
learn more.
The workshop, entitled "*Library 2.0, what it is and how you can use it*,"
is on *Thur. Nov. 20 from 1:00-3:00 pm* (PST), so you would need to be
online at that time to participate.
I will be using the Elluminate system, which is a type of online
conferencing system that anyone can use from their computer.
Instructions to join are below. The developing workshop is on my wiki at:
http://robdarrow.wikispaces.com .
**Sign on 15 minutes early to ensure your technology is working. To talk and
ask questions in the workshop from a distance, be sure to have a headset
with a microphone ($15.00 at Radio Shack) and turn on the sound on your
computer. Click on the link below to join (may need to copy and paste this
URL into your browser to make it work):*

Please reply to this email so I know you will be joining...you're welcome to
just listen in or share your Library 2.0 ideas from a distance with those
attending the workshop face-to-face. There is room for about 15 more people
who are interested.
