Jill,

Try www.librivox.org <http://www.librivox.org/> . They record and
distribute the recordings of public domain books like The Scarlett
Letter. The recorders are volunteers and you'll have to check to see if
the recordings will work for you student. Our Internet filters
sometimes block downloading at school and sometimes allow it. I
downloaded the intro to before sending this. If you can't download at
school you can download at home and put it on a memory stick to take to
school

Best of luck,

Dave Burt

Subject: [CALIBK12] The Scarlet Letter audio

Hi all,

I'm looking for a recommendation for The Scarlet Letter in audio. I've
looked in the EBSCO Library Literature & Information Science database as
well as Academic Search Elite database for reviews (found 3 not-so-good
ones) as well as in Titlewave (no luck). Does anyone have an audio
version of this classic in their collection that they have any feedback
on? The recording needs to be purchased per a student's IEP.

Thanks,
Jill Cope
