It was another great CSLA event! Thanks to the conference organizers
who did an amazing job (as always). There were great concurrent
workshops and the authors on hand were wonderful and so generous with
their time.

I did pick up a couple of books and read Jerk, California by Friesen on
the plane yesterday - if you haven't read it, please do it truly is
wonderful. I cried some and laughed some as well. Very nicely done.

Thanks again CSLA-the conference was more than worth the registration
fee. Call me just another happy member. (PS- be sure to renew your
dues, Connie Williams has some great things planned and you won't want
to miss out!)

Subject: [CALIBK12] CSLA Conference-- more kudos

Kudos to the conference committee who worked so hard to provide a
quality conference! I came away with new ideas that I can use, and
happy about reconnecting with friends I had not seen in a while.

Several times I met people for whom this was their first conference, and
tried to help them feel welcome. I'm glad that they are taking
advantage of this networking and professional development opportunity
and hope that they also came away energized and enriched.

Lots of retired library folks attended the conference too, sharing their
expertise and helping with registration and other conference duties. How
neat that people continue to support CSLA after retirement!

And as always, despite my best intentions, I bought books I couldn't
resist, and discovered that yes, my suitcase does have that little
zipper that gives you two more inches of stashing room :-) Whew!
