[CALIBK12] Weeding the reference collection

We will very shortly be moving into a new library. I am in the process of
weeding the collection. I am particularly having trouble with the reference
collection, in part because I have only been at the school for a year and
don't have enough information about past usage. What I mainly see is
teachers and students using the internet. We do have good online resources:
Gale Student Resource Center, Gale ebooks, SIRS etc.  

 

I would welcome any general or specific guidelines that you use when weeding
reference books. You can send your answers to me directly and if there is
interest from others on the topic, I will send a summary of the ideas to the
list.
