[CALIBK12] databases for middle school

Janie,
Most of the library web pages in our district (Fairfield-Suisun)
have links to our county library system. The Solano County Library
system has a great set of databases that students with library cards can
access from our school computers as well as from home. The only
drawbacks to using the public library system are that too many students
lack a public library card and some of the databases are more for high
school than elementary and middle school.

I would like to know this as well, since our pres-6th is expanding to
middle
school. I would also like to know any problems or opinions about
linking
the school to the local public libraries databases via web site link.
Each
student would have to have a PL card of course.

Subject: [CALIBK12] databases for middle school

I work in a middle school library. Our library has not purchased any
online
databases. If you are in a middle school library and subscribe to
databases,
please tell me which you would or wouldn't recommend and why. Has the
use
justified the cost?

Thank you,
