Yet one more chance for me to comment on the wonderful sessions which will be offered this year both in concurrent and workshop. We have a strong program this year and you want to see just how "School Libraries Make Connections".
See you in November.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Dr. Douglas Achterman for defending his doctoral dissertation at the University of North Texas this morning.
His study follows in the footsteps of the Keith Lance studies linking California school library media programs to achievement, particularly at the high school level. It is a much stronger study than a similar one done a few years ago in California on the same topic. The evidence is particularly strong when a full time teacher librarian supported by a full time clerical is in place.
I know that Dr. Doug will be presenting his findings at CSLA, so you will want to attend his presentation.
Congratulations, Dr. Achterman!!!!!!!!!!!
