[CALIBK12] a question about 2 manga book series

Once again I am seeking the collective wisdom of this group. Is anyone familiar with the manga series Fruits Basket published by Tokyopop and whether this would be appropriate for a middle school library? I would also like to ask about the Fullmetal Alchemist series (which I believe is a novelization of a manga series) for a middle school library.
