Hello Everyone,
Last year we had Peggy Sharp and Michael Cart and they were big hits.
Peggy Sharp had over 100 people register within the first 12 hours.
This year we are having Peggy Sharp and Patti Tjomsland.
These events are opened to everyone - so bring your friends.

Elementary:
This year we have Peggy Sharp on 2 different days - choose only one day
- either October 27, 2008 or October 28, 2008 (8:30-3:00pm) at the Santa
Clara COE - The presentations will be the same on each day.  She gives
hundreds of projects, activities, and talks that you can do with your
students.  She literally can plan your entire year for read alouds.
Everyone will receive her handout (Roughly 200 pages - same as the BER
handout) and lunch is included.
BER charges $180 for the day - ours is only $50 and you get lunch.  It
is definitely worth the money - spaces will go extremely fast and all
registration is done online.

Secondary:
This year we are bringing in Patti Tjomsland to give her list of best YA
books.  She is PERFECT for middle and high school.  Same as Peggy she
gives a wealth of information - a lot of booktalk ideas and activities
that you can do with your students.  She will be doing her same
presentation that she will do for BER but at a fraction of the price.
Patti will be at the Santa Clara COE on November 6, 2008 (8:30-3:00pm).
The cost is $50 and it includes her wonderful handouts that she uses at
BER (Over 200 pages of wonderful information) and it includes lunch.
All registration is done online.
