[CALIBK12] OT: male/female "discrimination" ? Where is it written?

"Hypothetical" question:

Is there a law or Ed code or ? at the state level stating that classes or groups on school campuses cannot line up in 2 lines, one for girls and one for boys? ("gender discrimination" ?)

Or is this a district issue?
