The networked organization of the 1990s was created by internet

through people to people knowledge and information relationships and
Web 2.0 technologies. What strategies do you as information managers
and information specialists need to know to build and leverage your
own knowledge networks? What’s the most effective way to structure
your ‘knowledge work’ in the socially networked information
organization? How do our clients and customers participate in our
information practices and networks? Join our public library
practitioner and researcher as she addresses these interesting issues
and challenges.

gamut of Web 2.0 gadgets and widgets, hosted applications, server side
scripts, and desktop tools for Professional Education Network
attendees. They highlight tools for people who are just starting out
as well as some advanced applications for Webmasters who like to dig
their teeth into a bit of code. Pick up some new tool ideas that can

"So...Whaddya Got on My Family's History?" Reference Interview
Questions for Genealogy Patrons
http://tinyurl.com/5enle9

1-hour Audio Conference with Joanne McCarthy - $85.00

We’ve all been stumped by that eager new hobbyist – the genealogist –
who has a million and one questions on how to research his or her
family’s history. Without knowing the most common research tools and
resources, answering those complicated “surname- driven” questions can
be daunting for anyone sitting behind the Information Desk. In this
session, you will learn effective reference interview techniques and
strategies to assist patrons with their ancestral quests.
