Our library gets asked this question often and I have compiled this list
of glossaries that I have found over the years. Note that there are
many dictionaries available online, but most of them include
definitions. The resources listed below are glossaries/word lists with
NO definitions.
FOR SALE
The CDE sells the science and social science glossaries that were
developed by Los Angeles COE on CD-ROM. Here's a link to the ordering
information: http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/rc/documents/catalog2008.pdf
(see page 7).
TruNorth Research is another company that has developed glossaries,
including one for academic language.

ONLINE
San Francisco USD has social science glossaries available in Spanish and
Chinese.

Subject: [CALIBK12] CAHSEE Glossaries
To the calibk12 group,
Here's a follow-up to the recent discussion about translation glossaries
for the CAHSEE. Please note that dictionaries are not appropriate
because they contain definitions. Hope this helps to clarify. Barbara

Ms. Jeffus,
To the best of my knowledge, there are no CDE Spanish-to-English
glossaries. However, the mathematics study guide does have Spanish
translations for the math terms in its glossary. (The study guide is
available on the CAHSEE Program Resources Web page at
http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/hs/resources.asp.
As long as they do not contain definitions, districts can create their
own translation glossaries.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
