	The conference workshops will help you connect with our association's 
luminaries and nationally known experts or introduce you to some new 
talent.  You can choose to concentrate in one area such as technology or 
pick one workshop on reading and another on survival tips.  There is a 
diverse selection of topics for you to choose from.  For instance, Doug 
Achterman (San Benito teacher librarian) will be doing a workshop on 
Reading, Technology and the Media Center. This workshop will explore ways 
you can collaborate with classroom teachers to make students better 
readers.  Or you might choose to "Get Real" in  children's literature 
consultant Kathleen Baxter's workshop on getting kids excited about 
nonfiction.
