[CALIBK12] Must-Read for Librarians

Hi All: I just finished a fabulous book that I hope many of you are already aware of: People of the Book by Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks. It's the story of a beautifully illuminated 500-year-old book-a Jewish haggadah-as it travels across Europe, through the Spanish Inquisition, the Holocaust, and the ethnic cleansing of Sarajevo, protected from destruction by the heroic actions of Jews, Gentiles, and even Muslims. It's an exciting, adventurous read, and I especially loved the dedication: "For the librarians." Just wanted to share...enjoy!
