Mem  Fox  
Reading  Magic: Why  Reading Aloud to Our Children Will Change Their Lives  
Forever 

First  Congo Nursery  School, Preschool  Family of Palo Alto, and Linden Tree 
Books are delighted to announce a visit by  Mem Fox to the Bay Area on 
October  20, 2008. Fox’s book Reading Magic has been re-released with new material  
and will be the topic of an evening event at Spangenberg Theater, Gunn High  
School 780 Arastradero Road, Palo  Alto. Her dynamic presentation will leave no 
doubt in  listeners’ minds as to the incredible emotional and intellectual 
impact reading  aloud to children has on their ability to learn to read! A 
portion of the  proceeds from the sale of tickets to this exciting event will 
benefit the Bring  Me A Book Foundation, which works to promote literacy by 
providing young  children in underserved areas access to high quality children’s  
literature. 
Doors open at 7:00 so that  you’ll have time to visit the Bring Me A Book 
display area, and pick up your  copy of Reading Magic. Mem’s talk will begin
