We are an AR & SSR driven school so Collection Development is #1. But it is practically tied with #2. We have finally added some student laptops so we have 16 student computers available in our library. They are in constant use for "school related work" before school, during lunch and after school. Our kids need a place to print and process their work, etc. And promoting reading by providing activities like Battle of the Books, encouraging interest in new titles, etc. is imperative. Going along with that, my banned book daily announcements even have the staff calling the library to ask why? (IE Where's Waldo". Anyone know why it was banned?) Great book topic discussions

Subject: [CALIBK12] Best purchases
Here is my odd question for the day: What two or three purchases (besides books) most made a difference in your library? Feel free to take your answer in any direction that works for you.
Some things to consider:
1. Increased circulation.
2. Increased technology.
3. Increased services to students.
Thanks!
