Another followup from Joyce Valenza in a blog post last week, "What box?" - scroll down to Incident #3 and read more about PPT reform with students at her school.

Hi all,

Here is a link to the blog post Joyce Valenza did on reforming PPT - it has lots of great suggestions, reflects on results optained by students who used her suggestions and includes links to a lot of other sources for creating captivating presentations. Her suggestions certainly made me take a closer look at my own PPTs!

Dear Colleagues,Does anyone have a quick "how to" lesson for PowerPoint? More on the design concepts of the slide show than the actual mechanics of using the program. (There are so many versions in use it doesn't make sense to walk them through the mechanics but the design concepts are the same.) (Am I making sense? You know, one idea per slide, bulleted statements vs. complete sentences, not too much clutter on a single slide, easy to read fonts, that kind of thing.)I gotta put something together rather quickly.Anything you have to share would be appreciated.Doug DiltsLibrary Media TeacherSouth Tahoe High School530-541-4111 x240http://www.ltusd.org/sths/library
