[CALIBK12] Best selection tools for graphic novels? History Day?

Does anyone have suggestions for either of the above collection areas?  I'm looking for selection tools for graphic novels for middle school students, and also selection tools for History Day, focusing on American history in the 20th century.  Any suggestions are much appreciated.
