Speaking as someone graduating from the SJSU SLIS program this May, I
can say that I have learned a great deal about technology and its
multitude of applications. I had thought myself tech. savvy before
entering the program, but found myself sadly mistaken. There is more
information science than library in the program, and with all of the new
trends that is probably the way that it should be. Of the two programs
(CSU Sacrament and SJSU), I would recommend SJSU. You can do the
coursework in two years or more if you choose and do it all online.
Just make sure you get the regular session and not the special session.
Special session students pay through the nose (speaking from
experience).

I was in that program in 2001-2003 and it was still in development back
then. It had some problems back then with faculty and continuity of
coursework. But that was then. It has hit its stride now. I learned more
about educational technology in those 2 years than I did in several
years of teaching technology and acting as the tech coordinator. Of
course the offerings at SJSU MLIS program now far exceed the program
specs from Sac State for information literacy, web 2.0 and all things
Internet. But I haven't been part of the Sac State program in years now.
So it is probably on par with what they now teach in the MLIS program.

This looks like a good program. Fresno Pacific also has an excellent
program for a M.Ed. in Technology education
