[CALIBK12] Catcher in the Rye

I learned in on of my library classes that is illegal to give out the names of patrons and their checkout histories, unless they have a warrant.  We have it in our library and no one from the "government" has come to make a list of the students who have checked it out.  Unless, we are the government and yes those patrons are on our list.

Do you know it to be true that if you check out "Catcher In The Rye" from a Public Library you get put on a list by the "Government"?

I don't know anything about this.  I'd appreciate any information you may have.
