[CALIBK12] Catcher in the Rye

I work in a joint-use library and we check out all of our books on the public's system.

This is not true-believe me, if the public library had to report the patrons who wanted "Catcher in the Rye"," they would be all over those 1st Amendment rights!

You should ask the parent about his or her source of information.

One of the parents sent this question to me. I haven't heard anything about it.

Do you know it to be true that if you check out "Catcher In The Rye" from a Public Library you get put on a list by the "Government"?

I don't know anything about this. I'd appreciate any information you may have.

Thank you,

Elaine
